Today I moved to an apartment a 25 minute walk from work to take the place of this girl named Georgina, who is on vacation for about 5 weeks. The apartment is gorgeous and in a part of town called Southbank. Right on the river and the views are great. I am in a 4-person bunk bed room with a girl from France, Thailand and Japan. Their names are Noemie, Satomi and June. The other bedroom has a guy from China named Oscar. I am excited to get to know everyone. There are two cats here as well, I am trying to get used to them but it will take a while! They keep the apartment really clean and I like the building. Unpacking took a while and I still don’t know what my routine will be but tried to place everything accordingly. I went for a swim in the indoor pool and think I will try and do that for exercise a couple days a week if time permits!

I ran to the grocery store and bought some necessities then went to dinner with Jordan, an Australian friend I met in Hungary when I was in Eastern Europe this summer! We ate at the Arbory, a sexy two-story hangout bar on the yarra river smack dab in the middle of the city, with some wines on tap! I got an amazing Haloumi Mushroom burger, will definitely be going back for more of that. Conversation went from destination weddings to work projects to trips in the states.
Afterwards I headed off to Melbourne City Backpacker’s hostel again to see friends and get ready for a big night out to Ms. Collins. This club on Thursdays is a Reggaeton/Latin night with free entry, and my friend Sergio (Colombian) and I were the only ones to get in because we went early in order to get up and function for work the next day! This place was poppin’ and of course I had to wear my despacito top that I bought in Barcelona. The next day (Friday) I worked from noon until 2:30 am with a few breaks in between! The day was gorgeous with beautiful weather and happy guests (it was 4/20 after all!) I think I’m really getting the hang of working the nightclub and the fast pace of it all.
The next day I went kickboxing with my friend James, who is absolutely incredible at it. We went to a huge gym pretty far away called Derrimut. He was such a patient teacher and taught me everything from proper stances, to breathing, to translating energy from pivoting to get the right type of hit. I have so much to learn but feel really strong and badass hitting that punching bag! Afterwards we went grocery shopping and wanted to eat everything in the store. What self control that takes!
