Today was one of the best days in Melbourne. (Also followed a hard day kickboxing with James where we did kicks at various height levels. All the rotation really did me in!) In the early afternoon (mind you, this is a Sunday and displays Melbourne's going out culture perfectly).

I met up with Joona at Penny Black, a music venue in the Brunswick area to see a small doof that an Israeli guy I met a few weeks ago is helping to put on. He is really fun and energetic- his name is Miki! After a few hours there, lots of good times and drinks, Joona and I ventured off for a birthday party at a big warehouse. There were DJ’s spinning and free food and drinks.

Basically a party paradise- something I had never been to before. After what felt like hours at the party, with lots of cool people, we went to my all time favorite Sunday night party at Pawn and Co. The music, vibes, and good times were still going. We totally lost track of time and headed over to another club called Circus in the late hours of the morning on Monday. I honestly thought I would have been fast asleep by now! But why end a good night early?? I had been to circus once before and didn’t love it, but this time was much different. Some of the great friends I met were Bec, Corey, and Jose. I got home at 11 am on a Monday. You see people on the street when you have been out all night and morning, and think to yourself, "wow- what do they think of me??". The whole "Don't they have jobs?" question comes into your head, but then you know they are thinking the same about you. I live for moments like this. Today was absolutely bonkers. Ok. Back to reality here. Later on, early this week I got to see an old friend, Daniel Gewirtz, from the Chicago suburbs who is traveling and last minute decided to come to Australia. I didn’t have much time to spend with him today but we went out for a drink and chatted about everything- it had been such a long time! It was nice seeing a friend from home, someone with exactly the same accent! We will surely get together again to hang out.
