This morning was a transition. It was the bridge between the family trip and my solo trip to Cairns. We said goodbye to mom and dad who had a long way to go to get home, and then I said goodbye to Shayna and Ben for the short time being because they are staying in Sydney a few more days. Check out these beauties.

It was a weird feeling to be alone again, not going to lie. But the feeling was short as afterwards I caught an uber to Chris’, he is graciously letting me stay with him a few nights in Sydney because flights out to Cairns were not the best prices on the weekend. I dropped my bags and we immediately walked down to Coogee beach and picked up some coffee along the way. My favorite part of the day was splitting a bottle of wine inside the Coogee pavilion. This is a bar/restaurant/coffeeshop/barber shop/ study-work area where people of all ages come to chill and socialize near the water.

the pavilion had seating fit for kings and queens! sorry it's a bit dark

rooftop views of the bright blue waves. you can even smell the salt water through your screen!

We sat on the rooftop overlooking the beach and let the day play itself out. With more physical years of life experience and a very different career path (including a career change during school), Chris is a friend I can relate to on so many levels. I have a lot of respect for someone who does this, someone who takes control of his future and present! He even got sponsored in his first two months of graphic design work here! Atta go, man. You should all take a look at some of his work on his website www.designbybeadle.co.uk or his instagram page looks_arent_everything, where he explores different design concepts and their applications in the industry. After a homemade fajita dinner AND movie, we called it a night!
