Today we did lots of walking all the way up and down Chapel Street. We started off the day with some cakes at Zumbo’s. My friend Lee who is from Scotland is an amazing pastry chef and I have always wanted to go support him at work! Today was the day, and with the whole family no less! He even came out from the kitchen and gave us some free little cakes in addition to the ones we bought.

Let me tell you- these were arguably some of the best pastries I’ve ever had in my life. The guy’s got some mad skill, & I am so happy to call him my friend! Follow him on instagram to see some tasty concoctions! lee.sneddon.pastry. After lots of walking on Chapel Street, Prahran Market (fresh foods and some little restaurants) and in St. Kilda along the tiny beach, we got ready for Shabbat dinner at Chabad in Caulfield.

Last week was my first week at Chabad and it was special bringing my family because we hadn’t been together for a Friday night dinner in over 4 months! Everyone was very welcoming as usual, and my family got to meet my friend Jeremie. Afterwards we headed out to Murmur Bar, that piano bar that I went to alone the first time. It was absolutely crowded as all hell. I’m not sure I liked it that crowded because people were not really singing along, but instead drowning out the piano music with their chatter and drinking. The weekday is definitely a day to come here.

Shayna and I stayed a bit later than mom and dad and then we called it a night to prepare for our big night tomorrow night!
