What I have found, which is also very obvious, is that anywhere in the world it is tedious finding a job! Still working out housing as well and this is no small task. On the off time, I went with Joel and Greg to Local Taphouse, a very chill bar that had a great beer flight. This beer flight was particularly fun because you pay a flat rate, and then get to pick your beers off a list of about 30. Naturally, Joel pointed out to me that we could take the ones with the highest ABV. Right on, man.

The next day I went with Jeremie (Israeli I met in Sydney) to walk around Brunswick. The area is very hip, and has lots of fringe clothing and gift shops. It was sort of dead during the day because a lot of people were working most likely, but the sun was shining and we were exploring a new part of the city so we had our spirits high. I also got to see some of the University of Melbourne, which was gorgeous. A refreshing mixture of old and new buildings. On my walk from the central business district of Melbourne to the Brunswick area, I passed multiple universities and colleges – one of the underlying reasons Melbourne has so many young, lively people!

On Thursday I went with Joel to Abbotsford convent, one of the largest convents in the state of Victoria in the 19th century and now is a public park and educational/cultural hub/garden area, to make decorations for a night club for a glow party this Sunday night. Yes, they have rave parties Sunday nights haha. This city does not fail to impress.

For Shabbat the next day I picked up some flowers, and we had a big traditional meal with his extended family. Afterwards Joel and I went to a club called Cloud Nine to see some friends. Jess was there, an incredible face makeup artist who glammed me up. There, I met these two brothers from Tasmania who had just made a killing gambling on some races and were out to celebrate. They were the life of the party! Shoutouts to Todd and Eric.
