This morning Lee, Shaina and I went to a fun breakfast/brunch place with gorgeous meals called The Lion & Buffalo.

I had a delicious avocado toast (had to take the cilantro off but still loved it!) and then Lee dropped us off at the start of the Coogee (pronounced Coo-jee) to Bondi (pronounced Bahn-die) walk: a coastal walk that goes through a few beaches and waverly cemetery. The weather said it was going to be cloudy and low 70’s, but the walk ended up being 80 and sunny! A rookie mistake by me was just wearing sunscreen on my face. I ended up with a sunburn for the books. Anyways, the walk was so gorgeous and lined with beachy apartments and houses. Even from the trail you could taste the salt water from the waves because it was so windy!

Since they drive on the other side of the street here, they also walk on the other side and that made for funny run-ins on the trail. We stopped a few places for the views and even watched a game of lawn bowling (Australian bocce ball) at an outdoor court. We arrived at Bondi Beach and immediately went to look at the Bondi icebergs, a swimming club that hugs the shore of Bondi beach. It had a unique geometric layout, and we couldn’t get enough pictures of it. The beach itself was laid back (wasn’t the hottest weather for it) and there were cute restaurants/bars around it. They were pretty expensive so we chose a grocery store to get some food, and had a picnic with a nice view of the beach. We got back to Lee’s and relaxed, then Shaina and Lee headed to UNSW and I stayed back to tend to my sunburn!
