Tonight was awesome. I went to Highlander Bar with my friend Nathan from work, and we milked the heck out of that happy hour! Andree, another coworker, met up with us for a little, and we went to Arbory Bar on the water after to see a friend named Sunni who was working. We ate amazing burgers, arancini balls and drank espresso martinis (which were from the tap, might I add) all night. One of the things I love talking about with Nathan is music! We could listen to Childish, Kendrick and Chance all day. It is wild, and I see it all the time meeting different people, that I could be listening to the same song in my room in Deerfield, IL that someone on the other side of the earth is listening to and enjoying. Technology and the modern culture bonds us together in ways we truly don’t understand or know the half of. Arbory bar is the one I went to with my friend Jordan a few weeks ago. Did not disappoint tonight either!!

The next day I hung out with my french friend Etienne who is heading off to do some work in Tasmania. I am so excited to hear stories and see pictures from there! It is very close to Melbourne (1 hour flight to Launceston airport) and I have my sights set on a trip there in the future. A few days later I met up with a friend named Simon. I met Simon while I was traveling with Shayna (my sister) and Andreya (a close girl friend from University of Illinois) in Cambodia in the summer of 2017.

Meeting Simon in Cambodia- Summer 2017

Simon is from the UK and has been traveling ever since! This is quite a feat and I have met a number of amazing individuals who have been on the road for this long or even longer. Getting to meet back up again in another country is spectacular beyond words! Especially when I’m still making new friends here and establishing myself. I met up with him and his friends at Fitzroy Beer Gardens. Good drinks, music, company… all that jazz guys.

I couldn’t be out too late though because I had work the next morning but it was a great reunion and I hope to see him again before his big road trip with his awesome friends from home!
