Tonight I met up with Andrieu. Andrieu and I met at an apartment showing in Melbourne a few weeks ago, and became friends. Yes, you can make friends anywhere. He is from Spain and is working and studying in Australia. We had pizza in the park and went to an awesome basement bar called Fiftyfive. It has some retro furniture and truly feels like a basement you’d go down to in the states with old school furniture and smells and vibes.

The music was pretty groovy with a live dj even though it wasn’t a super big place. I really miss basements because they don’t have many in Australia! I took a super weird picture of the place because I didn’t want other bar-goers to think that I was taking a picture of them. The next day I worked out (finally) and at night I went out with a friend named Joe, another avid Pawn & Co-er, to workshop bar. Now this bar was ALSO out of this world. We bonded over his past editing work and growing up in England. I am trying really hard to be able to decipher where people are from in England based on their accents. But there are SO many different accents in such a small vicinity. Nonetheless, I’m confident with more practice and exposure I can figure this puzzle out. The next day was just wildly unproductive and I hung out with James and went to an incredible burger place that had a peanut butter brownie shake. I can’t even begin to describe how decadent this flavor was! I was full for days!! Back at James’ I got to hang out with his brother and sister. It’s really nice getting to hang out at someone’s home with their siblings- something I have always loved doing at home with my sister. I miss her but will see her soon!
