Today was pretty “hectic” as they say in Australia. I moved all of my things from my apartment in Southbank to another apartment in Southbank, about an 8 minute walk from each other. Our landlord even gave me a ride for one of the trips- which was very thoughtful! I am now living in another bunk bed room with two girls from Japan and one girl from Iran. There is one Chinese boy and two twin brothers from Colombia in the other room. Our apartment family: Aya, Ami, Emma, Ke, Juan and Eadrian. We are still waiting on one more boy but are really enjoying our community so far! We have super random schedules between working and some are enrolled in classes here, but we find time to sit around the table and laugh, cook, watch movies, and hang out together. Our washing machine is broken and we are still getting the kitchen sorted out with utensils, but the building is really nice with a pool, tennis court and small gym. I am excited to be living here although it is a few more minutes of walking for me to work. I’m so grateful to be living with driven and down to earth people from so many different continents! Obviously, there is always some hesitation moving into a new place with new people, but you just have to be flexible and considerate and enjoy each other's company! Let the good times roll. I’ll be putting up apartment pictures soon but here are some of us being silly:
